June 6, 2022Vitamin D3 is the most bioavailable form of Vitamin D and is produced naturally by the body when the skin is exposed to sunlight. During the autumn and winter months, you need to get Vitamin D from your diet or supplements because the sun isn’t strong enough for your body to naturally produce it.
Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, muscles and teeth and supports the normal function of the immune system.
What is Vitamin D3V?
Vitamin D3V is derived from a UK Algal source – Non-GMO. Our D3V is 100% sustainable and scalable and is produced as pure crystal Cholecalciferol, which meets the same USP/EP Monographs as animal-derived material.
Why do we need Vitamin D3?
Vitamin D works with calcium to help support and strengthen bones. Vitamin D is needed to absorb calcium from food. Without this function, the body cannot absorb the necessary vitamins and minerals, which eventually leads to weaker bones. Research suggests that people with more Vitamin D have leaner bodies, more muscle mass, and muscles that work better. Having too little Vitamin D could put individuals at risk of contracting COVID-19. Vitamin D plays a vital role in the immune system, which helps protect you from viruses and bacteria.
Could you be deficient?
According to the British Nutrition Foundation, approximately 1 in 5 people in the UK have low Vitamin D levels. The most at-risk individuals of Vitamin D deficiency range from infants and older people to vegans, vegetarians, and people with diseases. Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones and the overall wellbeing of the body.
Our Vitamin D3V® is Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) of 100%
plant-origin, produced from renewable resources and is available in 2 different formats:
